MES Coupling Saline 4.7 is designed for EDC-mediated coupling and immobilization protocols requiring acidic conditions and a defined ionic strength. The combination of 100 mM MES and 150 mM NaCl makes it particularly suitable for established workflows involving carboxylated particles, affinity matrices, and functionalized surfaces.

The buffer is supplied as a ready-to-use dry mixture that only needs to be dissolved in a defined volume of distilled or deionized water. No separate weighing, mixing of individual components, or subsequent pH adjustment is required. The dry formulation allows convenient storage at room temperature and eliminates the need for added preservatives or stabilizing additives, resulting in a straightforward buffer composition without unnecessary ingredients.
