PCR & RNA detection
Find the Right PCR Chemistry
Cormoran® Discovery Taq DNA Polymerase Kit
One polymerase. Three reaction environments.
The performance of a PCR does not depend on the DNA polymerase alone. Primer sequences, template properties, sample matrix, inhibitors and cycling conditions can all influence which reaction chemistry works best.
The Cormoran® Discovery Taq DNA Polymerase Kit combines our Hot-Start Taq DNA Polymerase with three different 5× PCR Reaction Buffers: A, B and C.
Run your assay with the same polymerase under three different reaction conditions and identify the buffer that provides the best performance for your specific application.
Once the preferred chemistry has been identified, Cormoran® Taq DNA Polymerase Kits with Buffer A, B or C are available in larger formats for routine use.

Digital PCR
Cormoran® dPCR Master Mix
A probe-based dPCR Master Mix developed for use with QIAcuity® digital PCR workflows.
Digital PCR places additional demands on reaction chemistry. Efficient amplification must be combined with reliable partitioning, fluorescence detection and robust endpoint discrimination.
Our Cormoran® dPCR Master Mix is developed for nanoplate-based digital PCR workflows on the QIAcuity® platform and provides a flexible alternative for laboratories looking for an additional source of dPCR reagents.
Suitable for applications including:
• Absolute nucleic acid quantification
• Copy number analysis
• Rare variant detection
• Mutation analysis
• Gene expression studies
• Multiplex dPCR assay development
Bulk quantities and customized dPCR formulations are available for assay developers, kit manufacturers and laboratories with higher reagent requirements.
QIAcuity® is a registered trademark of the QIAGEN Group. Cormoran Biotech GmbH is not affiliated with or endorsed by QIAGEN.

The Discovery Kit is particularly useful for:
• New PCR assay development
• Optimization of existing assays
• Challenging templates and sample matrices
• PCR inhibitor tolerance
• Fast cycling protocols
• Genotyping and allele-specific PCR
• Applications requiring improved amplification efficiency or specificity

Real-Time PCR
Cormoran® qPCR GreenDye 20×
A sensitive fluorescent DNA-binding dye for real-time PCR.
Cormoran® qPCR GreenDye 20× provides a flexible alternative to conventional SYBR® Green I-based qPCR detection. Simply add the concentrated dye to a suitable PCR Master Mix to enable real-time monitoring of double-stranded DNA amplification.
The separate dye format is particularly useful when you want to:
• Convert an existing PCR Master Mix into a real-time PCR system
• Develop your own qPCR formulations
• Optimize dye concentration independently from the PCR chemistry
• Produce customized or bulk qPCR reagents
Available as a standard Cormoran® product as well as in bulk quantities.
SYBR® is a registered trademark of its respective owner.

Multiplex qPCR
Cormoran® 5× qPCR Multiplex Master Mix
A concentrated probe-based qPCR Master Mix developed for sensitive and flexible multiplex PCR workflows.
The 5× format leaves more reaction volume available for template, primers, probes and assay-specific components while providing the core chemistry required for robust real-time PCR amplification.
The formulation has also been developed with dry reagent applications in mind.
Freeze-dry ready. Air-dryable. Customizable.
This makes the Cormoran® 5× qPCR Multiplex Master Mix particularly suitable not only for routine laboratory use, but also for assay developers and diagnostic manufacturers working toward prefilled or dry-format PCR products.

PCR Reagents - Made in Germany
Cormoran Biotech develops and produces PCR reagents in-house at our facility in Konstanz, Germany.
This gives us the flexibility to offer more than fixed catalogue products.
Whether you need a few tubes for assay development or a customized reagent for integration into your own product, we can adapt formulation, concentration, batch size and packaging to your workflow.
Reagents can be supplied in customized volumes and filling formats, including tubes, strips, plates and other customer-specific configurations.
Need more than a standard catalogue pack?
We provide PCR enzymes, Master Mixes, reaction buffers and molecular biology reagents in larger volumes for research laboratories, assay developers and commercial partners.
PCR chemistry can be adapted to the assay rather than forcing the assay into a fixed formulation.
We support custom optimization of buffers, Master Mixes and other PCR reagents for specific templates, sample matrices, cycling conditions and downstream applications.
Liquid reagents are not always the best solution.
Cormoran Biotech develops air-dried and freeze-dried PCR reagent formats for simplified workflows, prefilled assays, reduced cold-chain requirements and product development.
Drying can be combined with customized formulation and filling to develop application-specific ready-to-use PCR formats.
